Haven't been coming online for quite awhile already, was getting tired of the internet. Decided to come online upon reading an article in the recent Catholic News. The article was about this 25 years old Australian, male, that was caught trafficking drugs into Changi Airport. He is sentenced to the gallows.
So now, I want to share how i feel on this. The article stated that TWO Popes, i repeat, TWO Popes, have appealed to the President of Singapore lighten the sentence [ is it lighten? I don't know the right word for it ] but both appeals were rejected. Like What the Hell! The Popes have written to the government and have been refused?! I don't really understand why Singapore love to hang people so much. I mean, i know that the government is doing this to enforce law and order but hanging is really too much.
That poor guy trafficked drugs, and he got caught. Can't you guys just sentence him to life imprisonment or something like that instead of taking his life for a crime he didn't really finish carrying out? It isn't as if he murdered anyone. But even if he did, you people of the government who is humane enough, won't hang him too. You blame him a murderer for taking another human's life right? And then you go and hang him. I agree, he had no right to kill someone, hence, you don't have too. You are just the government my dears, you ain't God. We can never be God, so don't freaking act like one.
Anyways, I am confident that in God's kingdom, He won't go around hanging people who made mistakes because He is forgiving. I mean, You [ government people ] think that you are like perfect people who do not commit crimes like murder and arson compared to Them [ murderers, arsonists, etc ], so you have the right to hang them. What about God. He is SINLESS and even if we just say a white lie, we are soo impure, shouldn't He hang us too? I am not sprouting crap here.
I hope that all of you who think that capital punishment is the right thing to be done in Singapore, i wish you all a guilty conscience of taking away another person's right to live. Thank you.
