" You have completely forgiven a person once you stop gossiping or spreading rumours about him or her " - Father GerardOr something like that. I find Father Gerard's homily very interesting nowadays! Usually i would doze off halfway or something, oops. Out of point. Anyways, i just realized how much the gospel passage is useful to us, living in this modern world. The gospel, by the way, was the parable of the forgiven slave who did not forgive another. Its easy to say " What a stupid guy he is! He cant even forgive his fellow slave for not returning his money just after his master did to him!"
Its easy, real easy. But think about it, we do this almost all the time as well. Sometimes others forgive us, but we just cannot forgive another.
After reflecting and thinking about what Father Gerard said, I can 100% garuntee i have not forgiven about this person because i still gossip about her. I do not start rumours or spread rumours about her because i find that very disgusting. And i just found out that gossiping about her is just as bad. I criticise her behind her back and make sacarstic comments. I dont know why but i cannot help it. It seems to come out naturally. Maybe its the devil working in me, i dont know. =X
